The class covers an exposition of the English text (about 2 chapters per class) from a literal, historical viewpoint. Students will learn the major divisions and smaller pericopal sections of the Bible. Biblical and theological difficulties, figures of speech, the difference between the historical, poetic, parabolic and epistolary sections of the Bible, and scriptural correlation will be covered. A main objective will be to see the major Old Testament prophecies of the Bible in context, especially those which relate to Jesus the Messiah.
