Scott Branyan Bio
Scott says, "Two things have captivated my life. One is the outdoors; the other is the Bible. These two interests fit hand-in-glove. Theology makes the distinction between 'general' revelation (what is known about God through his creation, Romans 1:20) and 'special' revelation (God's message of salvation revealed through Jesus Christ, John 12:46). Having these two interests has led me into a life of fly-fishing guide, writer, photographer, and Bible teacher--perhaps a unique mixture of interests in today's world. I enjoy my outdoor experiences and also communicating them; but I am also continually being driven to God through his Word. His sovereignty and grace are themes which I see traced throughout my life. I hope you enjoy what I have to show and tell."
Scott is a native Arkansan. He studied vocal music at the University of Arkansas and received his Bachelor of Music degree in 1978. In 1984 he received his Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. Scott has taught numerous Bible classes to small groups in Northwest Arkansas since returning to the area in 1987, but he makes his living as a fly-fishing guide, outdoor writer and photographer. He lives with Sharon, his wife of thirty-plus years, outside Rogers, Arkansas.
